Opportunity

Skybound is seeking a visionary and passionate Director of Product Management and Strategy to help lead the growth strategy for Skybound Games. As the Director of Product Management, you will collaborate with leaders across Skybound to develop player-centric and data-informed strategies for the long-term success of our games business. You will help shape our product portfolio, oversee product and live ops roadmap planning, develop feature prioritization criteria, define SKU strategies, drive monetization, and inform the marketing team to support the development of our go-to-market plans. With deep knowledge of games and a passion for working with incredible creators, you ensure our games expand the relevancy and fandom of our world class IP, achieve our business goals, and shape the future success of our game studios. You will be an advocate for the business of games throughout the company and will mentor future leaders to support a growing slate.

Reports: This position will report to the EVP and GM, Games Publishing

Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Build a robust, data-informed understanding of Skybound's opportunities, relying on market data, competitive analysis, primary research with players, hands on experience with the games, and your own experience.
  • Support development team feature prioritization with documented criteria for marketing and commercial objectives, strategic goals, player needs, and market trends.
  • Define SKU strategies to optimize product offerings and maximize revenue potential.
  • Drive monetization strategies (e.g., game business models, platform strategy, live ops plans, etc.), across Skybound's game portfolio, ensuring sustainable revenue growth while maintaining player satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with the development and business leadership to define the long-term product slate for Skybound Games, ensuring alignment with business objectives, audience and trends.
  • Support the marketing team in developing go-to-market plans, including audience identification, messaging, and goal setting
  • Utilize deep knowledge of games and passion for working with creators to ensure that Skybound's games align with the company's world-class IP and brand identity.
  • Advocate for the business of games throughout the company, fostering a culture of understanding and appreciation for the gaming industry's nuances.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in games product management, with a proven track record of success in the gaming industry.
  • Deep knowledge and expertise in pop culture, gaming, trends, and player preferences.
  • Obsession with understanding audience needs, desires, and opportunities; truly diving into decision-making behavior when it comes to gaming and player loyalty.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable plans
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with a passion for collaboration with creative teams.
  • Proven ability to drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality products and exceptional customer experiences.
  • Demonstrated track record of building and leading high-performing teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.

Job Type: Regular, Full-Time

Salary Range: $150,000-200,000

  • base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc.
