This is a remote consulting position that offers an exciting opportunity to bring your expertise in Oracle, Peoplesoft, Reconciliation, and Advanced Excel to our company. You will be playing a pivotal role in managing our accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and procedures. This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of accounting principles and excellent problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle of accounts payable activities including invoice processing, 3 Way Match, check requests, and credit memos.
- Utilize Oracle and Peoplesoft software for efficient and accurate data entry and report generation.
- Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
- Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
- Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries.
- Code invoices, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and close the monthly books.
- Process purchase order related invoices, check requests, and credit memos.
- Maintain vendor relationships and resolve any discrepancies in invoices and payments.
- Prepare and provide supporting documentation for audits.
- Utilize Advanced Excel skills to create pivot tables, charts, and graphs for data analysis and presentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or similar role.
- Proficiency in Oracle and Peoplesoft software.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
- Strong understanding of the 3 Way Match process.
- Experience with invoice and purchase order systems.
- Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong ability to code invoices, reconcile accounts, and manage check requests.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a remote work environment.
- Knowledge of medical industry accounting standards and regulations is a plus.
