- Leading and managing multiple tax engagements to deliver quality tax services for our high net worth clients.
- Reviewing complex individual and corporate tax returns.
- Developing and maintaining an understanding of tax laws and regulations, including the intricacies of GAAP.
- Developing strong relationships with clients to improve client satisfaction and work with clients on business advisory needs.
- Supervising, training, and mentoring junior staff and interns on tax projects.
- Conducting primary and secondary review of complex income tax returns including federal and state filings.
- Interacting with key client management to gather information, resolve tax-related issues, and make tax planning recommendations.
- Generating new business opportunities by participating in market-facing activities and developing thought leadership materials.
- Participating in professional development activities to improve leadership skills and technical expertise.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in public accounting or related field.
- Proficient in corporate, individual, and business tax return preparation.
- Strong experience in managing staff and leading engagements.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP and tax preparation.
- Proven ability to manage a portfolio of high net worth clients.
- Excellent leadership, organizational and verbal/written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines and budgets.
- Ability to successfully contribute to the success of a strategic business unit.
- Proven high level of business integrity, client service and leadership skills.
