We are seeking an experienced Permanent Tax Director to join our dynamic team in the Finance industry. This challenging and rewarding role offers the opportunity to play a pivotal role in the strategic tax planning and compliance for our organization.
The successful candidate will oversee all tax-related activities, including the preparation of partnership and corporation returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and developing effective tax strategies. The ideal candidate will have a CPA, a strong background in tax, and a passion for problem-solving, financial analysis, and strategic planning.

Job DetailsThis is a unique opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking finance team and to make a significant impact on our company's tax strategy. If you are a seasoned tax professional with a strategic mindset and a hands-on approach, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of all tax returns, including partnership and corporation returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
  • Manage members of the tax team as they prepare components of the company's US federal income tax return and state tax returns.
  • Review tax returns and quarterly/yearly tax projections.
  • Manage and facilitate IRS income tax audits preparing responses, creating schedules, etc.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the tax team and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation.
  • Provide support with various internal audits and special tax-related projects.
  • Research and correct process errors that caused incorrect tax filings.
  • Negotiate with tax authorities over tax payment issues.
  • Advise management on the impact of new laws on tax liabilities.
Qualifications
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Master’s degree in Taxation preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance, and procedures for corporations.
  • Familiarity with U.S. federal, state, and local reporting requirements.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office and accounting software.
  • Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
