Job DetailsResponsibilities
  • Represent clients in court or before government agencies, present evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in criminal or civil litigation.
  • Select jurors, argue motions, meet with judges, and question witnesses during the course of a trial.
  • Study and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, case management statements, and trial briefs.
  • Conduct research and analysis of legal problems.
  • Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for corporations and individuals.
  • Handle consumer financial litigation and class action cases with diligence and professionalism.
  • Develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
  • Negotiate settlements in civil disputes.
  • Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of the latest developments in law and in the legal profession.
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Must be admitted to practice law in the jurisdiction.
  • Minimum of 1-5 years of experience in general litigation.
  • Proven experience with consumer financial services litigation and class action cases.
  • Excellent negotiation, research, and communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret and understand laws and regulations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills.
  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle a significant caseload and juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
