Responsibilities:

• Manage all phases of litigation from initiation to resolution, including trial preparation, trial strategy, settlement negotiations, and appeals.
• Represent the company in court and before government agencies, presenting evidence and arguments in a compelling and persuasive manner.
• Conduct thorough and detailed investigations to uncover facts and evidence for litigation.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, responses, motions, briefs, contracts, and agreements.
• Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of legal and business issues, taking into account the legal risks and business implications.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company and advise management accordingly.
• Participate in the development and implementation of corporate policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure legal compliance across the organization.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in business litigation, preferably in the engineering or related industry.
• Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex litigation matters from start to finish.
• Excellent legal research, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate legal issues or risks and to "see around the corner".
• Willingness to travel as needed for court appearances, depositions, and client meetings.
