We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Boiler Technician to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting various HVAC systems, with a primary focus on Boiler units. You will be part of a team that is passionate about ensuring the comfort and safety of our clients through the efficient operation of HVAC systems. This role demands a high level of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing excellent service.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain various types of boilers to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to avoid potential breakdowns and ensure the longevity of HVAC systems.
- Inspect systems and their components (e.g., air ducts, sensors, motors) for accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Troubleshoot complex HVAC issues using various testing devices.
- Record all maintenance and repair services performed, and keep track of all materials and parts used during the repair process.
- Provide technical direction and on-the-job training to lower-level technicians.
- Collaborate with team members and provide excellent customer service to our clients.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in the HVAC industry to improve job performance and services.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a boiler Technician or similar role in the HVAC industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of HVAC installation, repair, and maintenance, with a particular focus on boiler units.
- Proficiency in using various HVAC tools, instruments, and testing devices.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Certification from a vocational school, trade school, or completion of an apprenticeship in HVAC or a related field is preferred.
- EPA Section 608 Technician Certification is a plus.
