We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Bridge Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong background in bridge engineering, design, and construction. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of bridge load ratings, construction cost estimates, and a proficiency in various software applications including OpenBridge, Merlin-Dash, BrR, STAAD, HEC-RAS, and AutoDesk Civil. With 5 years of experience in the industry, you will play an integral role in our team, contributing to our ambitious projects and driving our success.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Bridge Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
1. Designing, planning, and supervising the construction of bridges and other structures.
2. Conducting detailed analyses to assess the structural integrity of infrastructure, utilizing your expertise in bridge load ratings.
3. Developing accurate construction cost estimates to aid in the budgeting and financial planning of projects.
4. Utilizing specialized software such as OpenBridge, Merlin-Dash, BrR, STAAD, HEC-RAS, and AutoDesk Civil for design and analysis tasks.
5. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and project managers, to ensure the successful completion of projects.
6. Conducting site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
7. Preparing and presenting detailed reports on the progress and completion of projects.
8. Keeping abreast of advancements in the field of bridge engineering and adopting new techniques and technologies as appropriate.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Bridge Engineer position should possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree or Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in bridge engineering, design, and construction.
3. Extensive knowledge of bridge load ratings and construction cost estimates.
4. Proficiency in using engineering software including OpenBridge, Merlin-Dash, BrR, STAAD, HEC-RAS, and AutoDesk Civil.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
6. Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. A strong commitment to safety and adherence to engineering best practices and standards.
