Job DetailsResponsibilities
- Manage the claims process from occurrence to closure, including all associated administrative tasks and claims software entry.
- Drive the claims process with adjusters to ensure timely follow through of actions items
- Develop and implement risk management policies and protocols to mitigate potential risks.
- Collaborate with the general counsel, attorneys, and other stakeholders to resolve claims and handle litigated issues.
- Act as the primary liaison with insurance brokers, adjusters, and workers' compensation carriers.
- Oversee and manage all incidents, ensuring they are properly reported, investigated, and resolved.
- Analyze and approve the claims loss and expense reserves established by insurance carriers in conjunction with the others in the Risk Management Department.
- Travel to various field locations to assess risk, investigate incidents, and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Develop and implement process improvements in the risk management program to enhance efficiency.
- Provide guidance on general liability and workers' compensation issues.
- Act as the liaison to attorneys, insurance companies and/or insurance investigating incidents that may result in asset loss.
- Partner closely with EHS on OSHA investigations and all matters related to risk mitigation/avoidance.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience – claims handling as an adjuster or paralegal preferred
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of state workers’ compensation laws
