We are seeking a Commercial Lines Account Processor. The successful candidate will have at least a year of experience in a similar role and be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, providing exceptional service, and helping develop innovative solutions for our clients' unique needs.
Responsibilities
- Initiate and submit change requests to carriers, including policy modifications, issuing certificates, auto ID cards, and other commercial insurance documents.
- Respond promptly to internal and external inquiries and requests.
- Follow up with carriers to obtain policies, endorsements, and other necessary documents, either via email or through the carrier's website.
- Order Motor Vehicle Reports (MVRs) and accurately interpret them.
- Request Loss Runs from carriers or retrieve them from the relevant carrier's website.
- Review and process new and renewal policies, endorsements, audits, audit assignments, cancellations, non-renewal notices, and proof of auto insurance for accuracy, and prepare necessary correspondence to insured clients and carriers.
- Collaborate closely with Account Executives/Account Managers and Brokers to build the skills and knowledge required to perform tasks independently, as well as to enhance communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Support Account Executives/Account Managers and Brokers in servicing and retaining assigned client accounts under their supervision and direction.
- Assist in coordinating marketing efforts during the quotation process by completing and reviewing applications, identifying new business opportunities for existing clients, and making recommendations for account expansion.
- Aid in the process of binding coverage, including requesting and confirming all coverages, issuing binders, or obtaining binders from wholesalers on behalf of clients, ensuring accuracy.
- Stay current on insurance coverages, exposures, and available insurance products and markets.
- Work under the guidance of Account Executives/Account Managers to develop the ability to create Summaries and Proposals of Insurance.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 1 years of experience with Commercial Lines Insurance
- Experience working with multiple carriers
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks effectively.
- High school diploma
