Job DetailsWe are on the hunt for an experienced Cyber Underwriter to join our growing team. This role is an exceptional opportunity to be at the forefront of the rapidly evolving field of cyber risk, providing you with the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and industries. As a Cyber Underwriter, you will be responsible for assessing, pricing, and managing risk associated with cyber insurance policies. You will be the key player in shaping our cyber insurance offerings and ensuring we are providing the best value to our clients. If you thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment and have a passion for understanding and managing risk, then this is the role for you.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and underwrite new applications for cyber insurance policies.
- Analyze and quantify risks associated with cyber exposures.
- Collaborate with sales and client services teams to build and maintain client relationships.
- Develop and implement underwriting strategies for cyber risk.
- Monitor industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory changes related to cyber risk.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on cyber risk and insurance solutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Cyber Underwriter, Cyber Insurance Underwriter, Risk Analyst, or in Risk Management.
- Strong understanding of the cyber insurance market, including knowledge of policy forms, rating plans, and risk appetite.
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to assess and quantify complex risks.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proven track record of making sound underwriting decisions.
- Professional insurance designation (CPCU, CIC, CRM, etc.) or equivalent is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field is required. Advanced degree or certification in Cybersecurity is a plus.
