We are seeking a dynamic and seasoned Director of Business Development to join our team. This is a permanent position that will require an innovative mindset, strategic planning, and a drive for success. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of driving growth and profitability, and a minimum of 8 years of experience in the Small Business Administration (SBA). This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse team, shape the direction of our company, and make a significant impact on our business.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy that aligns with the company's vision and objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue potential business opportunities, partnerships, and strategic alliances that will contribute to the company's growth and profitability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute business plans, proposals, and presentations.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and market trends to inform business development strategies.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and partners.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the business development team, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and resources to achieve their objectives.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of business development initiatives, making necessary adjustments to ensure the achievement of business goals.
  • Oversee the negotiation and closure of deals, ensuring they align with the company's strategic objectives and compliance standards.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in the Small Business Administration (SBA), with a focus on business development.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful business development strategies.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to identify and evaluate potential business opportunities and partnerships.
  • Deep understanding of market trends and competitive landscape.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience working with or for the Federal government
