The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all financial reporting functions and activities, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. This role requires a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting or related field.
Job DetailsAs a Consulting Director of Financial Reporting, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to
- STAT Reporting (Yellow Book)
- Design process flows and implement controls
- Write technical accounting memos
- Leading, mentoring, and developing the financial reporting team to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Coordinating with the internal and external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
- Implementing and maintaining effective internal controls over financial reporting.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements to optimize the financial reporting process.
- Participating in special projects and performing ad hoc analysis as required.
- Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting or related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree would be an added advantage.
- Extensive knowledge of GAAP, SEC, and other relevant financial reporting regulations.
- Property and Casualty Insurance Experience Required
- Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in clear and concise terms.
- Proficiency in financial reporting software and other relevant computer applications.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
