Are you a dynamic, result-driven leader with a passion for finance and operations? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are seeking a Consulting Director of Operations for our finance team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our operations, ensuring that our finance function operates at the highest level of efficiency and effectiveness. This position requires a high level of strategic thinking, leadership, and advanced organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
As a Consulting Director of Operations in our finance team, you will:
1. Lead the planning, direction, and coordination of the organization's operational activities.
2. Develop, implement, and oversee operational policies and procedures to ensure alignment with the company's business goals.
3. Work closely with senior management to contribute to the development of the company's strategic plans.
4. Oversee the preparation of the annual budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
5. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
6. Monitor operational performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.
7. Identify operational risks and lead the development of mitigation strategies.
8. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to streamline operations and improve efficiencies.
9. Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Consulting Director of Operations position should possess the following:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within the finance industry, with a focus on operations.
3. Exceptional understanding of financial and accounting principles, including budgeting, financial forecasting, and financial analysis.
4. Proven experience in strategic planning and execution.
5. Advanced organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on tight deadlines.
6. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing and leading high-performing teams.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and operationally.
8. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to a variety of audiences.
9. Proficiency in financial software and applications, and advanced Microsoft Office skills.
10. A high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
