We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator for our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing EHS programs and policies that comply with all local, state, and federal regulations. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, as well as the environmental sustainability of our manufacturing processes. The EHS Coordinator will work closely with all departments to create a safe, healthy, and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and manage safety programs to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Provide safety training and education to all employees, ensuring understanding and adherence to EHS policies and procedures.
  • Investigate workplace accidents and incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain accurate records of all safety-related incidents and provide regular reports to management.
  • Stay up-to-date on new regulations and standards related to EHS, and ensure company policies and procedures are updated accordingly.
  • Collaborate with management and staff to continually improve safety standards and achieve EHS objectives.
  • Coordinate emergency response plans and procedures, including drills and training for employees.
  • Manage waste and pollution control efforts to ensure environmental sustainability.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the organization.
Qualifications
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an EHS role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of EHS regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and educate employees on safety procedures.
  • Proven experience conducting safety audits and inspections.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address potential safety risks.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to maintain accurate records and provide timely reports.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS management systems.
