We are seeking a highly dedicated and experienced Engineering Department Manager to lead our dynamic team in the fast-paced construction industry. The successful candidate will have a robust background in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) and DSA experience is a plus. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with a proven track record of managing and executing complex construction projects.
Responsibilities:
As the Engineering Department Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the engineering department, ensuring all projects are executed to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
2. Leading the design and implementation of MEP systems for various construction projects, in compliance with DSA regulations and guidelines.
3. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
4. Developing and managing budgets, schedules, and project plans, ensuring all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
5. Implementing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all team members.
6. Providing technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
7. Conducting performance evaluations, identifying training needs, and developing team members to their full potential.
8. Staying abreast of industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes, ensuring the company maintains a competitive edge.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, the candidate must possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification will be an added advantage.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on MEP and DSA.
3. Proven experience in managing large-scale construction projects, from inception to completion.
4. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
6. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions under pressure.
7. Proficient in project management software and tools.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
9. A strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
