Responsibilities:
Self-Perform:

• Prepare accurate takeoffs for self-perform work
• Quantify concrete, masonry, demotion, and carpentry
• Price labor, material, and equipment using historical data and supplier pricing
• Lead the Self-Perform “SOP” Standard Operating Procedures in a team environment

Hard Bid / Negotiated Projects:

• Prepare accurate estimates for project Hard Bids
• Complete accurate cost analyses
• Develop accurate project schedules
• Work with Estimating and Operation departments on analyzing bids
• Complete subcontractor solicitation
• Develop accurate quantity takeoff and cost models
• Attend interviews on project pursuits
• Identify and communicate opportunities to enhance projects
• Work with senior-level staff on General and Special Condition requirements

Miscellaneous Items:

• Attend postmortem reviews on projects
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders
• Develop and execute plans to continuously improve subcontractor relationships
• Promote and leverage the use of technology by staff

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Strong planning, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
• Highly organized and able to prioritize and multi-task
• Ability to travel to various construction sites
• Ability to sit for extended periods
• Ability to lift bid documents weighing up to 50 pounds

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field and five years of commercial construction experience; or Associate’s Degree in a construction-related field and 8 years of commercial construction experience.
