Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians in the design and construction of transportation infrastructure projects.
2. Use your expertise in DOT, CAD, design grading, and technical project management to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standard of quality.
3. Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources.
4. Coordinate with other departments, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
5. Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
6. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
7. Prepare and present project updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to transportation engineering.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. A Master's degree or Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on transportation projects.
3. Proven expertise in DOT, CAD, design grading, budgeting, and technical project management.
4. Strong leadership and team management skills.
5. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
6. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
7. Proficiency in using engineering software and tools.
8. Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to transportation engineering.
9. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
10. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
