Are you a skilled Maintenance Mechanic with a strong background in the manufacturing industry? Do you have a knack for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial equipment? If so, we are looking for a Permanent Maintenance Mechanic like you to join our dynamic team. As a key player in our manufacturing operations, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our production processes run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities:
1. Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the building does not deteriorate.
2. Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
3. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
4. Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
5. Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
6. Troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment including conveyors and programmable controllers.
7. Fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
8. Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to construct templates and lay out reference points for workers.
9. Repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment.
10. Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters or other testing devices.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
2. Proficient in blueprint reading, pneumatics, hydraulics, and equipment maintenance.
3. Solid experience in preventive maintenance, machinery maintenance, troubleshooting, and schematics interpretation.
4. Extensive mechanical knowledge and fabrication skills.
5. Experience in repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting conveyor systems and other industrial equipment.
6. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
9. High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or trade school certification is a plus.
10. Must be able to lift heavy objects and work in different weather conditions.
