Shift 1st (6a – 4p) – 4 day / 10 Hour schedule
We are currently seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and passionate Permanent Maintenance Technician for our Machining department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the manufacturing industry, with a focus on maintaining and troubleshooting various types of machinery. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the productivity and efficiency of our manufacturing operations.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Permanent Maintenance Technician, your main duties will include
- Conducting routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and respond to signs of malfunction.
- Performing preventative maintenance tasks to avoid potential breakdowns and to ensure the smooth running of operations.
- Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems in production machinery and equipment.
- Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Documenting and maintaining records of all maintenance and repair work done, including the cost of parts and labor.
- Assisting in the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment.
- Adhering to all safety regulations and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Working closely with other team members and departments to improve processes and achieve common goals.
- Participating in ongoing training and development opportunities to stay current with industry trends and advancements.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in the manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and maintaining various types of machinery, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Strong technical understanding of manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly under pressure.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
- Proficiency in using various tools and equipment for maintenance and repair tasks.
- High level of physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy machinery parts.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety regulations and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
