We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic Manufacturing team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our mechanical and electrical systems. This is a permanent, full-time position, offering an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects and tasks. If you are a problem-solver who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of mechanical and electrical systems to identify and fix faults before they escalate.
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty mechanical and electrical systems, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to devise efficient repair and maintenance strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures during repair and maintenance operations.
- Train junior technicians and provide them with the necessary support and guidance.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in the engineering field and incorporate them into your work when applicable.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in the Manufacturing industry.
- Proficient in mechanical and electrical systems.
- Extensive experience with preventive maintenance of machinery and equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications in relevant fields will be an added advantage.
