We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This position is integral to the success of our operations in the cement industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of the maintenance team, ensuring that all mechanical systems and equipment are operational and well-maintained. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in mechanical engineering and hands-on experience in an industrial environment, particularly in the cement industry.
Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise the daily activities of the maintenance team, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
- Oversee the inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment, including pneumatic systems.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and lifespan.
- Coordinate with production and operations teams to schedule maintenance activities, minimizing disruption to production schedules.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve equipment design and performance.
- Train and mentor maintenance team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
- Manage maintenance budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Prepare and present regular reports on maintenance activities and equipment status.
- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven experience in the cement industry, with a solid understanding of the cement manufacturing process.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including pneumatics and fabrication.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective preventative maintenance programs.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and mentor a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
- Proficient in the use of maintenance management software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
