- Oversee all stages of project life cycle, managing multifamily construction projects from inception to completion.
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Meet contractual conditions of performance, reviewing the work progress on a daily basis.
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status, planning and defining project scope, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities and monitoring and summarizing project progress.
- Ensure all safety guidelines and regulations are followed at all times.
- Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses.
- Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks, ensuring quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear manner.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a project management role within the construction industry.
- Proven experience in residential construction, commercial projects, mid-rise, renovation, and multifamily construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
- Solid understanding of construction management processes, means and methods.
- Excellent knowledge of building and construction, design, construction contract administration, and project management planning.
- Exceptional leadership, management, and communication skills.
- Proficient in construction management software programs.
- Ability to plan and see the “big picture”, with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- A track record of managing budgets, schedules, and project risks effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Valid construction and project management certifications would be a plus.
