Job Details
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Multi-Family Sr. Project Manager, you will be tasked with the following:
1. Oversee all stages of project life cycle, managing multifamily construction projects from inception to completion.
2. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
3. Meet contractual conditions of performance, reviewing the work progress on a daily basis.
4. Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status, planning and defining project scope, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities and monitoring and summarizing project progress.
5. Ensure all safety guidelines and regulations are followed at all times.
6. Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses.
7. Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks, ensuring quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
8. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists.
9. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear manner.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Permanent Multi-Family Sr. Project Manager position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a project management role within the construction industry.
3. Proven experience in residential construction, commercial projects, mid-rise, renovation, and multifamily construction.
4. Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
5. Solid understanding of construction management processes, means and methods.
6. Excellent knowledge of building and construction, design, construction contract administration, and project management planning.
7. Exceptional leadership, management, and communication skills.
8. Proficient in construction management software programs.
9. Ability to plan and see the “big picture”, with excellent problem-solving abilities.
10. A track record of managing budgets, schedules, and project risks effectively.
11. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
12. Valid construction and project management certifications would be a plus.
