Our prestigious law firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Administrator to ensure the smooth operation of our computer systems, networks, and data security. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of network infrastructure, network hardware, and will be responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and managing our networks to ensure optimal performance and security.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN).
2. Install, configure and integrate network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, and other devices using Cisco technologies.
3. Conduct regular network performance tests and system audits to ensure operational efficiency.
4. Monitor network performance and integrity, and resolve issues such as network crashes, slow speeds, or connectivity problems.
5. Implement and maintain security and data protection measures including penetration testing and firewall management.
6. Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure minimal downtime and data loss.
7. Train staff on network and information security procedures.
8. Provide technical support and guidance to users, and troubleshoot reported problems.
9. Keep an eye out for needed updates and ensure the network evolves with the needs of the firm.
10. Collaborate with network architects to design and implement company-wide efficient and sustainable networks.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) will be a plus.
2. A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Network Administrator, Network Engineer or similar role in a complex network environment.
3. Solid background in network administration and architecture.
4. In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF).
5. Familiarity with access control models and network security, including experience with network security devices, penetration testing, and firewall management.
6. Knowledge of coding languages for scripting (e.g., Python, Perl).
7. Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds network tools).
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
9. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear, non-technical language.
