Job Details
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Nurse Manager for our Operating Room (OR) to join our top-tier medical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall direction and oversight of clinical practice and quality outcomes, financial growth and stewardship, and strategic planning within the operating room. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a team of skilled professionals in a fast-paced, cutting-edge environment that specializes in heart, vascular, and neurology interventions, as well as minimally invasive and robot-assisted surgeries.
Responsibilities:
As a Nurse Manager in our OR, you will be tasked with:
1. Overseeing the daily operations of the OR, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
2. Implementing and managing clinical practice guidelines to ensure quality outcomes.
3. Leading the OR team in delivering patient-centered care across a spectrum of services including inpatient, outpatient, heart, vascular, neurology, and interventional procedures.
4. Facilitating the growth and development of staff through ongoing education, training, and mentorship.
5. Managing the OR environment to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and the efficient use of resources.
6. Overseeing the financial management of the OR, including budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
7. Leading strategic planning initiatives to drive continuous improvement and innovation in service delivery.
8. Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and service delivery.
9. Promoting a culture of excellence and fostering a positive work environment.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Nurse Manager position will possess the following:
1. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
2. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
3. Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with a focus on OR, inpatient, outpatient, heart, vascular, neurology, and interventional procedures.
4. Demonstrated expertise in clinical practice and quality outcomes.
5. Proven experience in human resource leadership and management of the environment.
6. Strong financial management skills with a track record of promoting financial growth and stewardship.
7. Experience in strategic planning and the ability to lead change and innovation.
8. Knowledge and experience in minimally invasive and robot-assisted surgery.
9. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
