We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Operations Manager to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and innovative professional to lead and manage our day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the production processes, improving operational management systems, driving effective communication and strategic planning, as well as ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in operations, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and coordinate all operational activities at the highest level of management with the help of subordinate executives and staff managers.
- Develop and implement operational policies and a strategic plan.
- Develop, implement, and manage the operational budget.
- Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way.
- Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices.
- Purchase materials, plan inventory, and oversee warehouse efficiency.
- Help the organization’s processes remain legally compliant.
- Formulate strategic and operational objectives.
- Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability.
- Manage budgets and forecasts.
- Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs.
- Recruit, train, supervise and appraise human resources.
- Cater to clients’ or personnel’s concerns.
- Proven work experience as an Operations Manager or similar role in the Manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management.
- Experience budgeting and forecasting.
- Familiarity with business and financial principles.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Leadership ability.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Degree in Business, Operations Management or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a management position.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage staff.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other management software.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to make important decisions under pressure.
- Proven track record of successfully training employees in productivity and safety.
- Ability to work with teams and lead decision-making processes in a team environment.
- Highly effective communicator, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
