Responsibilities
- Carry out treatment plans developed by PTs under their supervision.
- Document patient progress, interventions, and other relevant information, working closely with the PT to ensure accurate and comprehensive record-keeping.
- Assist in billing procedures under the guidance of the PT, ensuring that billing is done in accordance with established procedures.
- Educate patients and their families on appropriate care, exercises, and therapeutic activities, often reinforcing the guidance provided by the PT.
- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Valid and current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level positions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
