We are seeking a seasoned Permanent Production Supervisor to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This position is perfect for someone with a strong background in food production management, lean manufacturing, team leadership, and performance management. If you are a passionate leader with over 5 years of experience in the industry and a knack for optimizing production processes, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Oversee the production process to ensure that manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process by monitoring employees and organizing workflows.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to maximize efficiency, reduce waste and increase productivity.
- Develop and implement effective plans and processes to meet production goals and timelines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Act as a team leader to foster a positive work environment, motivate team members, and provide guidance and feedback.
- Monitor and evaluate team performance, provide feedback, and assist in the development of performance improvement plans.
- Ensure all safety and compliance standards are met, and promote a culture of safety within the team.
- Collaborate with other supervisors, management, and cross-functional teams to streamline production processes.
- Conduct regular meetings to ensure open communication and address any issues or concerns promptly.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
- Prepare and maintain reports on production metrics, and provide updates to senior management regularly.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production supervisory role within the manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in production management, lean manufacturing, team leadership, and performance management.
- Strong understanding of industry standards, safety regulations, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and engage a diverse team.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a strong decision-making skillset.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for clear and constructive feedback.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with industry-specific software and systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
