We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Property Accountant to join our dynamic Real Estate team. This is a unique opportunity for a talented individual to utilize their accounting skills in a vibrant, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our financial operations and support the reporting and accounting throughout our portfolio.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Accountant, your key responsibilities will include
- Conduct thorough bank reconciliations across multiple systems, including Yardi, to maintain financial integrity.
- Lead the daily oversight of cash transactions and accounts payable processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Property Management, Asset Management, and Project Development, to provide financial insights and support.
- Prepare and post journal entries meticulously to accurately record business transactions and maintain up-to-date financial records.
- Assist in the preparation of investor reporting packages and provide support for tax return filings.
- Compile and analyze financial data to prepare comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 1 years of accounting experience, preferably in Real Estate.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.
- Proficient in account reconciliation and journal entries.
- Experience in real estate accounting is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to handle month-end close procedures.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
