International Manufacturing Company is growing their U.S. division and looking for a skilled Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager for their Greensboro location.
This role would report to the Controller, and if you're applying for the Accounting Manager role, you'd oversee one Clerk. If you are applying for the Senior Accountant role, there is growth into the Manager role.
The ideal candidate has 5 years of experience in full cycle accounting, including A/P, A/R, Month End Close, Account Reconciliations, fixed assets and Financial Reporting. This is a hands on position for someone who enjoys analyzing financial data, creating journal entries and managing fixed assets.
This is a mostly onsite position with flexibility to work from home as needed or one day/week.

We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Accountant or hands on Accounting Manager to join our dynamic finance team. This is a permanent position that offers an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to manage and coordinate all aspects of accounting operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting This role will report to the Controller.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the general ledger.
2. Prepare and review financial statements and explain variances.
3. Ensure accuracy in general ledger and accounting functions.
4. Calculate depreciation for fixed assets.
5. Prepare, review, and analyze financial reports to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
6. Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
8. Coordinate and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and professional standards.
9. Implement and monitor internal financial controls.
10. Assist with the Audit process.
11. Develop and implement improvements to accounting processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role.
3. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
4. Proven experience with financial statement preparation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation.
5. Proficiency in an ERP, such as SAP, with advanced Excel skills desired.
6. Strong analytical skills with a thorough attention to detail.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
8.. Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
9. Excellent ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
