A Bit About UsWe are seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time position that allows you to work remotely (ideally in Dallas, TX or Columbia, MD for occasional office visits), providing you with the flexibility to balance your professional and personal life. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our finance department, contributing to financial decision-making processes and ensuring our financial operations run smoothly. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including financial statement preparation, financial analysis, forecasting, general ledger management, internal controls, account reconciliation, and managing accounts payable and receivable.

- Preparing accurate and timely financial statements and reports in accordance with established guidelines.
- Performing detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and anomalies in financial data.
- Developing and maintaining financial forecasts, providing insights to the management team to aid in strategic decision-making.
- Overseeing the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.
- Implementing and maintaining robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Performing account reconciliation, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
- Managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are processed efficiently and accurately.
- Collaborating with other members of the finance team to streamline financial operations and improve financial performance.
- Continually reviewing and improving accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is highly desirable.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role.
- Proven experience with financial analysis, forecasting, general ledger management, internal controls, account reconciliation, and managing accounts payable and receivable.
- Excellent analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Exceptional numerical proficiency and experience with accounting software.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- A high degree of professionalism and integrity.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently, with minimal supervision.
