RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare month-end journal entries.
- Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Conduct variance analyses.
- Prepare management reporting.
- Focus initially on payroll accounting and associated reporting.
- Facilitate the collection of time cards in the ERP system.
- Lead the transition to time card reporting in the payroll system.
- Reconcile payroll reporting.
- Allocate payroll expenses to projects.
- Provide management reporting for payroll expenses, timecard reporting, and headcount.
- Support the implementation of best-in-class accounting practices as we transition to a new ERP system.
- Fully train on both the current and new ERP systems.
- Assist in the implementation of the new ERP system, focusing on integration with the payroll system to create efficiencies.
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve discrepancies between different ERP modules (e.g., inventory, COGS, and accounts payable across multiple locations).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a minimum of three (3) years of relevant accounting experience
- Expertise in Accounting, in particular in an ERP system and manufacturing environment
- Expertise in the use of Microsoft Excel and other software programs available to maximize efficiency
- Strong knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Ability to prioritize workload, and meet multiple deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced, frequently changing environment with little to no supervision
