As a Senior Attorney, you will be tasked with a wide range of responsibilities that are crucial to the success of our firm.
These include
- Managing all aspects of general liability cases from inception to conclusion, including trial, if necessary.
- Providing legal advice and representation to clients in matters related to general liability and medical malpractice.
- Developing and implementing strategies to effectively handle complex general liability cases.
- Conducting legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents and pleadings.
- Representing the firm in court and before regulatory bodies.
- Collaborating with other attorneys and staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry trends related to general liability and medical malpractice.
- Participating in business development activities to attract new clients and expand the firm's general liability practice.
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the Connecticut State Bar.
- A minimum of six years of experience as a practicing attorney, with a focus on general liability and medical malpractice.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully managing and resolving complex general liability cases.
- Exceptional legal research, writing, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and court officials.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using legal research software and other technology tools.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
