Senior Construction Estimator

· The ideal candidate would have At least 5 years of experience in Construction single family, duplex, developments and renovations. Primary responsibility of this role is to develop accurate budgets for projects starting from preliminary drawings to final documents.

· You will be required to work as part of the Pre-Construction and Sales team and provide support to Business Development by providing accurate budgets.

· You will be required to understand sub trades scope of work and execute sub agreements based upon the correct scope of work per the contract documents.

· You will be required to write detailed scopes of work to send out to the subcontractors for pricing.

· Attention to detail is a must as this job requires analysis of documents and the production of accurate bid documentation. You will also be required to arrange, organize and coordinate pre-construction meetings to facilitate the bid process.

· This candidate will need to communicate with trade partners to review and evaluate cost estimates as you will be working closely with sub-contractors throughout the process.

Essential Skills

· Excellent Microsoft Office skills is a must, especially in Excel

· Experience and background in the construction industry is a must.

· Ability to meet tight deadlines.

· Effective time management skills are required to attain budget and timescale restraints set forward by the project requirements and the ability to perform successfully in a challenging work environment.

· Excellent communication skills.

· Experience with On-Screen Takeoff, or similar.
