Job DetailsResponsibilities
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports ensuring compliance with GAAP, company policies, and financial regulations.
- Manage all aspects of day-to-day accounting operations including but not limited to, general ledger, journal entries, intra-company transactions, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of quarterly and annual financial filings.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
- Participate in the formulation of budgetary and accounting policies.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end tax reports and liaise with tax consultants.
- Implement and maintain reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements.
- Provide financial analysis and forecasts to assist in strategic decision making.
- Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. An advanced degree such as an MBA or a professional certification like a CPA is highly desirable.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in fund accounting or related field, preferably in the finance industry.
- Proficient in GAAP and experience with journal entries.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial data and information to non-financial individuals.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in using financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization.
