We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager Quality Assurance to join our team in the Food Manufacturing industry. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated and accomplished professional to contribute to our commitment to quality and safety. This role is critical to the ongoing success and growth of our organization, as you will oversee all aspects of quality assurance, including food safety and audits. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
As the Senior Manager of Quality Assurance, you will be responsible for the following:
1. Developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive Quality Assurance program that meets the highest industry standards and complies with all regulatory requirements. (SQF Practitioner Preferred)
2. Supervising and leading the Quality Assurance team, providing training, guidance, and support to ensure all objectives are met.
3. Overseeing all food safety protocols, ensuring that they are strictly adhered to and conducting regular audits to verify compliance.
4. Identifying potential areas of risk and implementing corrective measures to mitigate these risks.
5. Collaborating with other department heads to ensure that quality assurance is integrated into all aspects of our operations.
6. Conducting regular audits of our manufacturing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance quality and efficiency.
7. Keeping abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in quality assurance and food safety, and implementing these insights into our own practices.
8. Preparing and presenting regular reports to senior management on the status of our Quality Assurance program, including any challenges, successes, and recommended improvements.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance within the Manufacturing industry, with a particular focus on food safety. (PCQI Certification Highly Desired or HACCP Certification)
2. Proven experience in conducting audits, with a strong understanding of audit procedures and standards.
3. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. A Master's degree or additional professional certifications will be considered an asset.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of the organization.
7. A thorough understanding of industry regulations and standards relating to food safety and quality assurance.
8. Proficiency in using standard software applications, with previous experience in using Quality Management Systems being highly desirable.
9. A proactive and results-driven approach, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
