A Bit About UsWe are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Staff Accountant.. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a fast-paced, growing organization where you will play a crucial role in the financial health and success of the company. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledgers, preparing and analyzing budgets, and performing general bookkeeping. This role demands a strong understanding of bank reconciliations, financial reporting, fixed assets, lease invoicing, and budgeting.

- Prepare and maintain monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial statements and utilize benchmarks for the budget forecast.
- Manage fixed assets by recording acquisitions and dispositions, calculating depreciation, and verifying insurance coverage.
- Oversee lease invoicing activities, ensuring all invoices are accurate and sent out in a timely manner.
- Prepare annual budgets in collaboration with various department heads and perform monthly budget-to-actual analysis.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards.
- Assist with various projects as needed, such as financial audits or the implementation of new accounting software.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the construction industry.
- Proficient in bank reconciliations, financial reporting, managing fixed assets, lease invoicing, and budgeting.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey financial information to non-financial colleagues.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- A proactive approach to work, with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues before they arise.
