Job DetailsResponsibilities
- Serve as the primary support for Accounts Payable operations.
- Monitor and review daily cash transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Provide daily reports on cash and money market balances to Management.
- Execute and oversee the month-end reporting process across multiple systems.
- Prepare and finalize journal entries and reports for month-end reconciliation.
- Handle the month-end journal entries for assumed reinsurance.
- Manage 1099 maintenance and annual filings for multiple entities.
- Maintain unclaimed property records and complete required annual filings.
- Prepare and submit Statutory filings as mandated.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of annual and quarterly financial statements.
- Conduct inter-company expense entries and reporting tasks.
- Process and journalize credit card statements.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 2 years minimum of proven experience in accounting, with a focus on Accounts Payable and month-end processes.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple reporting and compliance tasks.
- Proficiency in handling 1099 and unclaimed property filings.
- Experience w/ online state filing
- Accounting software experience (Sage 100 preferred)
- Insurance industry experience highly preferred
- Capability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
