Description: Responsibilities: CORE FUNCTIONS •Under minimal supervision, conducts testing of new or modified hematology and/or urinalysis analyzers and ensures that testing is performed and documented according to plans, procedures, and schedules. •Executes system verification testing including customer workflows, Quality Control, Calibration, and analysis of whole blood and/or urine specimens. •Ensures that the product meets requirements/specifications. •Assists in troubleshooting product performance issues by interacting with Software, Engineering, and the support of specific customer application issues. •Analyzes data using statistical methods, interprets technical data, and promptly reports and documents issues. •Prepares procedures and reports, and accurately documents the execution of the test procedures and test results in accordance with departmental procedures. •Prepares presentations and participates in design reviews. •Follows all safety procedures and policies in the laboratory. •Maintains inventory/supplies necessary for testing purposes. Organizes test data •Trains new team members on instrument set up/maintenance and department processes. CORE REQUIREMENTS •Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in a related field with 3 years of direct relevant experience or Masters degree in a scientific discipline with 1 year of direct relevant experience. •Certified Medical Technologist (ASCP/AMT preferred) •Prior R&D and/or clinical experience in urinalysis, hematology or clinical chemistry preferred Experience is required in the following areas: •General laboratory workflow. •Hematology experience with CBC, 5 Part Differential, flagging, and review of results. •Execution and review of decision rules with reflex and rerun test orders. •Knowledge of basic laboratory statistics. •Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) •Proven technical writing and presentation skills and excellent communication skills. •Ability to work in a team environment. •PREFERRED: Prior experience with client DxH Hematology or Iris Urinalysis instrumentation. •PREFFERED: Microscopy experience. Able to perform cell identification of abnormal cells and particles in blood and/or urine. Education: Bachelors Degree Certification: Certified Medical Technologist Additional client information:
