Job Description
Oracle's Cloud Foundation Services (CFS) is the forerunner to migrate Global Industry Unit (GIU) SaaS applications to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The Database as a Service (DBaaS) team is a critical to that business objective. The Director of Global Support manages a diverse, global team of managers, database administrators, and developers to support operations and problem management.

• Problem management for complex database problems GIUs face during operation and migration of customer databases
• Plan support schedules to provide for 24x7x365 of Database Administrators to rapidly respond to customer outages and degradations
• Partner with DBaaS Development to drive migration to Autonomous Database and Golden Gate Cloud Services
• Support security and compliance patching of the DBaaS fleet
• Manage Corrective Action / Preventative Action program to improve service availability and partner / customer experience

This role requires a thinker with strategic vision and tactical prowess. The candidate will identify gaps and communicate ideas, solutions and concerns. A part of each day will be spent developing and implementing plans for future service and process improvements. On days where CFS DBaaS production operations aren't perfect, the candidate will lead the Support team in efforts to restore services, identify root causes, and improve the service.

Minimum Qualifications:
7 years of team management experience, preferably DBA team management
Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have 2 or more of the following attributes: Extensive DBA / DBA Management experience, Large Program Management Experience, Intimate knowledge of internal Oracle GIU processes

US: Hiring Range: from $120,300 to $291,900 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
