The schedule will be 1st shift (6:30 am to 3:30 pm).**Job Duties**- Managing people; consistent policy deployment (safety, absenteeism, interviewing, termination, operator discipline, systems)- Verifies that paperwork for jobs is filled out accurately and completely.- Responsible for the training of Operators, Beetles, and Trainers Product management team member.- Provides thorough and accurate data for incident investigations.- Ensures adherence to STM. 389 and MNG.006.- Leverages structured problem-solving tools (i.e., A3, fishbone, 5 Why) in corrective action responses to NMR's and CPAR's.- Accountable for business metrics (safety, quality, delivery, and cost)- Constant communication with the Team Leads and Operations Managers- Responsible for developing Team Leaders, Assistant Team Leaders- Handles personnel issues as they arise and collaborates with Human Resources as needed.- Scheduling operations, including production, OQ, IQ, and PQ for their area- Responsible for changeover improvement plans, performance tracking, and cell improvements- Monitor job processes- Hourly timekeeping approval- Design the room schedule based on demand, constraints, etc.- React to change in regard to scheduling (change in demand, change in resources, etc.)- Lead continuous improvement activities for their assigned room using lean manufacturing tools to eliminate waste.- Conduct quality audits- Leads rounds process for their area (visual boards maintained, task trackers, etc.)- Well-versed in all 3 production rooms and able to manage off shifts as needed- Demonstrates Harmac's core values of honesty, integrity, and respect.- Other duties as assigned**Safety Responsibilities**Supervisors are responsible for ensuring that all employees comply with safety rules and regulations. Supervisors have the authority to take corrective action as appropriate. The supervisors' responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Carrying out safety policy and procedures as directed by the department manager.- Promoting and maintaining enthusiasm with respect to safety.- Conducting thorough accident investigations and submitting them to appropriate personnel on a timely basis.- Conduct periodic safety inspections of their areas.- Assuring that employees are provided with and wear proper protective equipment.- Participate in Job Hazard Analysis, by identifying and documenting any safety concerns.- Participating in safety meetings and providing ideas to improve the safety function.**Why work at Harmac?**Harmac provides our employees with more than just a great place to work. Engineering degree a plus.**Experience**7 years prior experience managing people, planning, scheduling, working with DHRs/Travelers, and implementing lean preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.This position is currently accepting applications.
