The Literary Specialist will provide leadership and oversight for literary and creative initiatives and classes falling under the auspices of the International Writing Program, including programming, editing, assistance during and for IWP’s Fall Residency, Between the Lines, Lines & Spaces, and Distance Learning programs. This position will teach International Literature Today as well as International Translation Workshop and advise on editing and writing-related components within IWP. The Literary Specialist will conceive and oversee interdisciplinary, collaborative literary programming through partnerships across the University of Iowa (Ul) including but not limited to the Iowa City Public Library, WhitmanWeb, The Writing University, Main Library and Special Collections, and other partners. There will be opportunities to conceive, develop, and oversee novel literary, creative, and editorial initiatives.
