We're seeking a future team member in the role of Director, Data Management Manager to join our Data Management team. This role is in Lake Mary, FL - HYBRID In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
Manages multiple teams in the planning, design and development of the corporate information bank. Manages analysis of application data requirements for new and enhanced data processing applications and the development of conceptual and logical models of the data as a prerequisite for physical database design.
Responsible for managing multiple development projects, often global in scope. Directs and provides guidance on the analysis and design of data models and logical databases at the data element level consistent with the corporate architectural models.
Directs multiple teams in the development of logical database designs across multiple computing environments (e.g., host based, client server, distributed systems, Web, e-commerce). Analyzes current business practices, processes, and procedures and helps to identify future business opportunities for leveraging data storage and retrieval system capabilities as well as reducing redundant data processes
Leads analysis of technology industry and market trends to determine their potential usage and impact on the business unit and organization. Monitors compliance with procedures, policies and standards relating to database management. Recruits, directs, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
Advanced degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
12 years of experience in data modelling/warehousing with related management experience, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
Manages multiple data modelling/warehousing teams. Contributes to the achievement of multiple teams' objectives.
