What You'll Do On a Typical Day
- Provide leadership for project execution for both internal departments and external clients; offer direction and guidance to the project team and communicate project requirements to internal and external stakeholders
- Create and manage cohesive project programs and plans with identifiable critical paths, task dependencies, risk/issue mitigation processes and major milestones
- Work with business process owners to identify and scope areas of opportunity
- Creatively scope, manage and implement projects to meet business needs
- Build solid collaboration and relationships with senior leadership to support company goals
- Develop customer presentations that illustrate solution components and value propositions
- Support other project managers and project team members as needed
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
- 2 years of experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously of varying scope and size in a supply chain, logistics, or distribution environment
- 2 years of experience using project management software
- Microsoft Office experience
- Ability to travel 50 - 75%%
- Advanced degree in Project Management, Supply Chain or related field
- PMP and Lead Six Sigma certification(s)
- Experience in site start-ups, take-overs, and operational recoveries
- Experience in supply chain management in a distribution environment
- Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) knowledge and experience
- Working knowledge of financial accounting, including developing and/or managing a P&L
- Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
