Responsibilities of position
Jobsquad is currently hiring for DSD Routes for a well-known snack food company. The primary purpose of this role is to service established customers by creating an order, rotating product, and stocking shelves. Accounts to include large chain grocery stores and convenience stores. Product will be pulled from the Augusta warehouse and delivered throughout the area in a box truck.
You will be responsible for covering one of these markets:
- Farmington
- Rockland
- Waterville
- Winthrop
This route has:
- Several grocery stores and convenience stores on this route (some locations will need deliveries multiple times per week)
- Starting rate of $23.00/hr.
- Some Saturdays may be required
- Some holidays may be required
- Start time is typically between 4:00am-6:00am
- Routes are designed to be 8-10 hours/day
Candidate must be willing to perform the following tasks and meet the criteria below:
- Must be able to drive up to a 16-foot box truck.
- Travel between stores in the area.
- Must be able to push, pull and lift 20 lbs. – will be walking up and down the back of the cargo truck loading and unloading products.
- Must be able to keep a schedule assigned to the route. Must be able to use a handheld computer.
- Must be able to manage inventory.
- Must be able to check-in/check-out products accurately with the receiving personnel.
