We’re hiring a high-energy, reliable and experienced, Full-Time Field Technical Service Engineer to support the security integrations industry! The person in this position will maintain the responsibilities for technology installation at a variety of sites under a key clients. Requirements
5 years of experience in commercial installation and service of IP video, analog video, access control and intrusion detection systems.
Strong knowledge and troubleshooting experience with Access Control and CCTV systems
Familiarity or certification in Lenel, Milestone, Genetec, Avigilon Access/Video, and Cloud-based Access/Video products.
Understanding of structured cabling basics and troubleshooting.
Understanding of electrified locks and troubleshooting.
Strong knowledge of IP and networking concepts.
Valid state driver’s license without restrictions
Effective communication skills.
Local Low Voltage Licensing is a plus.
Some Of These Key Tasks
Responsible for design support, small installs and service support for an assigned region. They will work closely with Security Project Manager (SPM), Service Technical Manager (STM) and Security Design Engineer (SDE) and will report to the Senior Operations Manager for Technology (SOM)
Assist with responsibility for the security project once instructed by the SPM.
Join (where necessary) the project specific conference calls.
Ensuring that the system completes a signal acceptance review and is monitored within the required timescales.
Be able to identify the requirements for the security system to interface with the site and/or bldg. system (s)
Competent understanding of Structured Cabling Systems and Fiber Optic Cabling.
Competent understanding of security device installations ( i.e. CRs, Cameras, MD, EAX etc).
Competent understanding of EIA/TIA 568 and NEC standards, IT Infrastructure and DOS Commands
Strong understanding of: Access Control Systems design and implementation, CCTV design, and implementation.
