Job Description
The Joel Bieber Firm is looking for an Associate Attorney to join our large and growing firm. The qualified candidate will be responsible for assisting senior attorneys on personal injury, mass torts, and medical malpractice cases from inception to resolution. The ideal candidate for this position is a passionate, driven individual with a strong work ethic and excellent organizational and communication skills. Salary and commission commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Evaluate new claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients accordingly
- Draft, review, and modify claims, motions, discovery responses, demand letters, pleadings, subpoenas, memorandums, and other legal documents
- Review and analyze medical records
- Represent clients at meetings, hearings and trials
- Ensure accurate follow-up and thorough management of team’s case load
- Conduct legal research for med mal and mass tort projects
- Assist senior attorneys as needed
Qualifications:
- Member of the Virginia State Bar
- Superb drafting, research, negotiation, and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and organizational skills
- Able to maintain confidentiality and to use discretion in all interactions
- Experience in Personal Injury, Mass Torts, or Medical Malpractice law a plus
