This is a 2nd shift position is Monday to Friday from 2:30pm - 11pm with OT
The Production Manager is responsible for assisting in day-to-day production, including but not limited to, supervising, motivating and supporting his/her employee staff by applying a team approach and maintaining open communication. He/she assists in strategizing and overseeing production activities to ensure high level of quality productions and maintaining efficiencies. The Production Manager assists in enforcing all company policies regarding food safety, GMP's, training, health/safety and working closing with the human resources department.

Essential FunctionsMaintain a professional appearance and demeanor that reflects the company's commitment to quality, continuous improvement and respect for individuals.
Assist in overseeing that production goals are met by prioritize jobs, and when necessary, reorganize to meet deadline changes and updates.
Comply with all OSHA safety requirements.
Assists with staff scheduling, time off requests, and overtime.
Assists in the monitoring of quality, accuracy, and timeliness of all orders to ensure customer commitments are met through production of high quality material that meets customer delivery expectations.
Assists in the responsible for overseeing the activities of team members in production departments, including but not limited to: Hanging Room, Sanitation, Production, & Smoke House.
Assist management & human resources with hiring and interviewing key positions
Assist management in performance counseling, performance appraisal, and record keeping.
Operate powered industrial equipment as needed.
Responsible for knowing and enforcing Company policy regarding food safety, GMP's, health & safety, training, etc.
Assisting in other duties as need arises.
Required Education And ExperienceThis position currently does not require any secondary education. Basic knowledge of supervisory functions, food safety, health & safety, and GMP's including the essential functions and core competencies listed in the above job description.
