Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and skilled full time Dental Assistant to join our growing Dental Practice located in the heart of Trolley Square to help us continue to deliver top-notch dental services. The dental practice is committed to providing exceptional dental care and creating a comfortable and positive experience for our patients.

The ideal candidate will be friendly, organized, and committed to providing high-quality patient care. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with our dental team to ensure that patients receive the best care possible.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
• Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays)
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
• Take impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth)
• Provide postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist
• Record treatment information in patient records
• Ensure patients are comfortable before, during, and after dental treatments
• Perform office management tasks that often require the use of a personal computer
• Communicate with patients and suppliers (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, billing and ordering supplies)
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment
• Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling)
• Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health
• Assist with other duties as needed in the dental office

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current CPR certification
• X-ray certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Basic knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
• Proficiency in using Dentrix dental software and Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a Dental Assistant
• Bilingual (Spanish/English)
